Star Citizen Notes
I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make WoodHaus’ Oddfight on April 23rd, but I was glad I did. A small but select and elite group were online (seriously), Foxxy, WoodHaus, skoma ,Tom, Star Voyager, with our very own commentator Shingles (insert weekly name here).
At Kalreah security station both Foxxy and I were able to land after several dogfights. Unfortunately the respawned losers took umbrage to our ships being parked and shot them up, I was able to provide a target for one adversary and promptly respawned, I believe Foxxy managed to take the target out.
Vengeance is mine, I thought, and promptly boarded my ghost and headed back out. Upon arriving, I found myself face to face with a Sabre ( if memory serves me right), and it became a “Mexican standoff”, neither ship moving, or firing or flinching. I could hear Woodhaus on my headset, EVA outside the station, but my eyes were fixed on my opponent, the tension was building, who would strike first?
Then the EVA WoodHaus crosses my windscreen like an otherworldly squeegee kid, crying out “Help me” like a Vincent Price line in the original “The Fly”. I was busy laughing so hard I couldn’t react when he started shooting the other pilots cockpit. Both of us were promptly blown up. Some people have no sense of humour.
Yes, we all await impatiently for the newest patch to drop, but regardless of the buggy and unfinished game Star Citizen is, it’s the Oddysee members that make me want to play it. We have a great collection of anal retentives, trolls, class clowns, geeks and nerds, all with their own talents and personalities, we just have to hang in there.
We’ve decided to change the format of the Star Citizen section slightly, but that does not mean SC is on the back burner. It just means I will have to do some of the writing, unfortunately due to slow shipping, my Intel counterparts, Vrax and Navy, haven’t received the crayons I sent yet.
