Intel Division Report 12-4-2947
The PTU is out, though much to my distress, I still haven’t received the invite, I have to wait. Everyone who has tried said it’s buggy, but the fixes are moving forward and 3.0 is on its way.
The ATV’s were a great update of the art, design and thought processes involved in the creation of the ship’s and the backstory of the manufacturer, which fleshes out the depth of the Star Citizen universe.
So Anvil is my favourite manufacturer, many because of the Carrack, and like the PTU, I have to wait for it as well. Initially I worried about the Carrack, it is basically an explorer’s ship, but how much UEC can I earn and how long will it take? I hope the information collected can be sold to eager buyers, it will take a lot of fuel to gas this baby up.
The three detachable modular pods give me another option, cargo hauling to the furthest reaches, precious metals or perhaps medical supplies. As far as defense, the Carrack is built like a tank, so I should have no problem selling my cargo after hauling it across a galaxy.
I will, like many others, operate independently and also with the Oddysee PMC.
As the game progresses, we will at some point be introducing contracts, of differents types, to make the corporation money.
Contracts will involve all aspects of operations, trading and mining, resourcing and supply routes, security and bounty hunting, all of which will bring some profit back to go into the pot. I have always been a firm believer in enabling our members to build their personal fleet, but at the same time pay for the augmentation of Oddysee’s larger and standing fleet.
This may require a finders fee or a loaners fee, and perhaps even a membership due or tax, but all of this is moot until we have a fully fledged economy.
Hang on because 3.0 is coming and this should be one helluva ride.
