Logistic & Industry Division Report 1-10-2948

Well as we all know, or should know, the Roberts Space Industries website got an overhaul. It’s quite an improvement in my opinion.

Cargo manifest is getting it’s overhaul so you can see what you’re carrying, not just on your ship, but across your fleet.

Cargo is going to be getting tweaked over the coming months and possibly change quite a bit as smuggling, mining, and such come in. We’ll keep an eye on this.

The golf ball bug is getting fixed, we all seem to know someone that was plagued by this bug and hooray, they’re getting their wings back!

Be sure to take the survey to make sure CIG gets your feedback on 3.0 ships and ship operations, you can take the test multiple times to address different scenarios.

3.0.1 only took a week to get live as they refined how features are implemented into the game. Instead of separate teams working in isolation, they’re collaborating across teams from start to finish to get this stuff out the door. Impressive work.

Mobiglas UI are continuously getting worked on, which is good because as we give feedback, they’ll make the interface easier to use and more relevant. Thinking long term I could even see the potential for multiple layouts or possibly even custom layouts. We’ll see if they make it that far.

The characters look amazing as they’re getting fleshed out.

Ships, weapons, and shields are ALL getting balance passes not only against other ships but how those items impact the power, heat, etc of your ship. It’s interesting times in the ship arena. Ship armor is a multiplier for damage taken, so larger ships with more armor, are harder to kill. Makes sense to me. We’ll see how this progresses. I think armor will effect weight, which will effect thrust and propulsion. Go go gadget ship customization.

Plasma weapons are being considered, they’re tweaking things so that the min max will be less of a focus and what you use and why will be much more preference or situational, which is exactly how I would like things to go.
