Intel Division Report 6-5-2947

Chris Roberts is like one of my older brothers, growing up, anyone with an older sibling might have gone through this.

“ Here do you want this?”

“Sure, thank you,” and you reach for it. And just before you’re able to grasp it, a millisecond before you have it, he pulls it away.

You sit there frustrated, swearing an oath to never fall for that trick again….till the next time.

3.0

I was looking forward to the end of June, hoping that it would actually show up on time, but Chris Roberts is that mean older sibling. But then they start talking about it again, and I find myself watching ATV again, and reading the lore, and watching the lore. I am still waiting for this game no matter how many times it gets delayed.

The latest carrot is the Nav points. As an explorer, finding the route and mapping the route is only part of it. We have to trail mark it for the later members of Oddysee to find their way. Mark the routes away from the Vanduul, the pirates, the anomalies and through  the danger zones of the universe to resources or to trade routes.

It is called Pathfinders for a reason, my fellow Oddyseeans, and those Nav Beacons will lead the way to a fight or to our fortunes, or both. So many variables and gameplay can be laid around these points of light. Simple guideposts through a safe corridor for IED caravans of ships, logistics support for embattled SOD ships or traps for unsuspecting pirates looking for the convoys of trade goods.

So Chris Roberts, here I sit, in front of my monitor, waiting for you to hand me 3.0, only to take it away again before I can wrest it from your fingers.

It better be everything you said Star Citizen would be, we’re all counting on it.
