Intel Division Report 5-1-2947
We’ve had a short break from the newsletter, time to mull over some stuff read some new Star Citizen lore, watch a few episodes of ATV, and now it’s back to work. This isn’t really work, but a lot of conjecture and hype and hope.
The Banu defender concept has been released, and there’s a lot of talk about the impractical design, it’s inferiority as a fighter (or defender) and whether a member should buy one. There’s rumours that the backer feedback from the initial design has already created a need for change in the pipeline.
As Pathfinders Senior Chief, I found a different reason to be excited by the ship.
Exploration is to be my main purpose, learning about different races, new worlds, new systems and new friends or enemies. The release of the Banu Defender fleshes out one of the races in Star Citizen, the background for the design revealed more about their society, their hierarchy and their achievements. The embellishments of their surroundings show the status in their society, the ship appointments showing the relationship between their ship and their nomadic life.
. The rigid structure of the society was also revealed, where the Banu were selected and trained into their profession till their end of days.
With the added lore, and the vague hint about other alien races, there will be more encounters in far off galaxies, maybe allies we can make or foes we can break. Are the Banu destined to be just a trading partner or can we find another contact through them?
Intel Pathfinders will be looking for the next alien race, it would be monumental to find them first.
