//Welcome Back//
Well then, another month another at the Helm. Retrospectively it’s been a quiet month aside from, well everyone getting on and playing together a lot more. Which is nice. It’s coming up to Christmas and I think what better a time for us to spend playing games and getting up to mischief. P.s. if nothing else, read the ‘Org Tool systems check portion!.
//New faces and a growing community//
Over the past month, Oddysee has seen some exceptional growth. We’ve a new person who has only been introduced to gaming (PC Gaming at that) recently. Growth in diversity of active community members as well an increased amount of people consistently online. We’ve also seen some amazing new faces join us through Black Desert, a real testament to the work of the people invested in that game.
With all of this said, I am genuinely surprised and happy that we are seeing such a resurgence in activity. Both of new faces and Old.
//ARK Survival… Revived?//
As many of you have known, we had stopped hosting our own ARK servers due to the maintenance costs vs usage we saw from them. Unfortunately, this meant that a lot of the community simply had to look elsewhere for servers and to play with each other for those few that did.
Thankfully we’ve got our very own resident tech guru with some sweet sweet server space. Demonseed a long time officer has brought you servers such as Minecraft and Arma 3 in the past. He is now in the process of establishing a full time ARK server as well as getting the Arma 3 server back up and running. So look out for more information regarding that going forward.
//Merchandise//
We’ve been working on something that’s been asked for by the community for quite some time now. That’s right Oddysee Merchandise is going to be coming to a browser near you. Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature the full range of Merchandise that we had hoped to get going (Dog tags, we’ll get there!). We’ve been looking at different options so you can represent, in style that won’t be Odd you see.
Chase me up in a week from you seeing this if we haven’t got links posted everywhere! The cool thing about these options is that we’ll make a small cut of all purchases. Money that will be re-invested in the community to ensure the best facilities are provided to you all.
//Org Tool systems check//
Saving the best for last, our resident web magician has been at it again. Working on the Org tool before he has to depart for America. Skoma’s latest revision on the Org tool is shiny. Really shiny. Check it out via www.oddysee.org:4200 It’s got some amazing stuff going on. We’ve been working on it for quite some time (well Skoma, the one doing the hard yards) and there’s a ton of new features added into it.
You can log into it via the top right and putting in “odd” as the password. I’d particularly recommend checking out the member section and clicking on a name to see what’s planned for it. It’s been a long two years but we’re nearly almost there. At least for the public base version. If you have any suggestions, improvements or anything else you’d like to see, PM either myself or Skoma.

With all that said, this at the Helm comparatively to others quite short. With the Holidays coming up and this being the only Newsletter before then (Possible Christmas edition?) I’d like to wish you all a great holidays, whether you celebrate Christmas or the other events during this period I hope it’s great.
