Two Drake Ships and a Dropship walk into a Bar…
Even though we cross another anniversary point for Star Citizen, things are a bit slow on the news front. Sure the Herald and Caterpillar are awesome to see nearly finished and the finalized FPS systems of the long awaited Star Marine are amazing, but my real treat was the release of CIG’s internal schedule. This is probably the most transparent thing they can do as a company. No hiding behind non-answers or the ever popular SOON™. We see the same scheduling chart they’re working to, and when they come in early, or late, we have the same joy and disappointment as they do. In the mean time, I’ve managed to get on the game a few times recently and even had Cainsrebel give me my first tour of Security Post Kareah which I had never been to before. The dropship is a wild design that echos a lot of good space opera sci-fi in it, I decided to pass on it and continue to give my Redeemer it’s chance to shine. While I know the ship pipeline crew are a constant, almost independent team that are churning out tons of ships for us all to play in, at some point, they’ll need to be redirected into the planetary and mission content roles when the last of the ships get completed. “Keeping it Simple” with the ship skins is a good way to do this. Anyways, maybe one of these Wednesdays, I won’t be busy (unfortunately, my worst “on the fly ambush day” by my friends) and will join you all again in the ‘verse. Of course, 2.6 may be finished by then since it’s in the hands of the Avocados now. Till then, Demonseed out.
