World of Warships

This is only loosely what I would call a review, and if you want all the technical aspects explained out to you, don’t bother reading any further. This is purely subjective based on what appeals to me about the game.

I decided to try World of Warships to stem the boredom and as a bit of a break from the usual. It’s free, and you can buy ships if you’re inclined, but all it cost me was the time it took to download.

Each ship in the tech trees must be researched before you can move on to larger ships, researched by earning points in battle and their usage. You can minimally upgrade parts of your ship, the hull, aiming systems, etc and consumables can add repair and aircraft as well.

Each battle is either for capture points or superiority, and the ships are mixed on each side. Destroyers, cruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers, within 2 tiers of each other, are matched against a force of three same size, then the battle begins.

Growing up in a town where seasoning ships would come in from the Atlantic Ocean, a friend and I were given a tour of Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaker. I have always loved ships.

I actually enjoy turning a lumbering battleship about to bear guns upon the enemy, gauging the speed of both the target and the guns as they reload. Having a clan mate join your battle division is also a kick. A division will contain three members, working in conjunction with others to achieve Victory!

Yes, there is an Oddysee clan, ODC , and there are members signed up. Joining a clan allows some perks, researching and building ships, etc are easier to achieve in a clan, and they also have clan events posted. Contact Cykhat, Cipher and Rascal Tippin to sign up.

Fair winds my friends.
